The meetings of the Kanawha Valley Mining Institute are usually held on the first Thursday of the month between the months of September and April of each year.  We do not hold meetings during the months of May through August.

The meetings generally follow this format:

6:30 PM         Reception  -  (cash bar)
7:30 PM         Buffet Dinner
8:15 PM         Business meeting and informational program
9:00 PM         Drawings for door prizes and 50/50 raffle

The program is usually conducted by one of our member vendors making a presentation involving services and products offered by the presenter.  These programs are a source of continuing education to keep abreast of industry developments.  We also frequently have guest speakers who may entertain or educate the members on various topics.  Membership may be obtained for the bargain price of $20.00 per year for an individual member or for $100.00 per year for a corporate membership.  There is no cost for the meetings or the dinners, as these are provided by the meeting sponsor. Parking is free at the hotel, and special rates are offered to members spending the night at the hotel.  The  CONFERENCE CENTER   offers great accomodations for the Institute and its members.  Special thanks to the professional catering staff for their efforts in making our events very special.
